The International Medical Center Priora took part last weekend in the traditional Spring Festival in Čepin. At Priora’s “Health Corner”, visitors had the opportunity to check their blood pressure and blood sugar levels free of charge.
Free health checks for more than 70 visitors
Measuring blood pressure and blood sugar is one of the simplest, yet most important things we can do for our health to help prevent the development of serious diseases. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about the importance of regular health check-ups and taking care of one’s health.
At the Priora stand, more than 70 visitors checked their blood pressure and blood sugar levels and, in cases of abnormal results, received advice and guidance on further steps.
“I measure my blood pressure occasionally, but I hadn’t checked my blood sugar for a long time, so I decided to take a few minutes and see where I stand. Fortunately, everything is normal, which made me very happy,” said one older visitor.
People of all ages, both younger and older, were equally interested in their blood pressure and blood sugar levels.

“Diabetes, as well as cardiovascular diseases, also affect younger people, so it’s important to check blood pressure and blood sugar from time to time. It really only takes a few minutes, and it’s great that this service is available at events like this,” said one young visitor.
Regular check-ups for long-term health
Experts from IMC Priora reminded citizens that even good results are not a reason to stop regular check-ups. On the contrary, monitoring blood pressure and blood sugar levels is important even when values are normal, as changes often develop gradually and without noticeable symptoms.
Timely monitoring allows early detection of potential irregularities, prevention of chronic diseases, and preservation of overall health and quality of life.
