Within two years of introducing the Da Vinci robotic system, IMC Priora has successfully performed more than 100 robotic procedures. Following its initial use in urology, this advanced technology has been expanded to kidney surgery and gynecological procedures, including robotic hysterectomies.
Greater Precision and Faster Recovery with Da Vinci
The Da Vinci robotic system enables minimally invasive surgery through several small incisions, providing surgeons with a three-dimensional view of the surgical field and exceptional instrument precision. This approach allows for safer procedures in anatomically complex areas while reducing blood loss, lowering the risk of complications, and shortening operating time.
For patients, this most often means less postoperative pain, a shorter hospital stay, smaller scars, and a faster return to everyday activities.
The Development of Robotic Surgery at IMC Priora
The first Da Vinci robotic procedures in Croatia were performed at IMC Priora in June 2024. Today, the system is successfully used in both urology and gynecology, while the expert team continues to expand its application to abdominal surgery.
Patient experiences continue to highlight the benefits of the minimally invasive approach, including faster recovery, reduced postoperative pain, and an earlier return to normal daily life.
