Orthopaedics

Orthopaedics – Department for bone and joint health

Orthopaedics is a branch of medicine dealing with diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system – bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles. At the Orthopaedics Department, the focus is on timely diagnostics, prevention, and treatment of orthopaedic conditions, with the application of modern methods that enable safer procedures and faster recovery. Special importance is given to an individualized approach, where each patient receives a treatment plan tailored to their health condition, age, and lifestyle needs.

Care covers the entire process – from the first examination and consultation, through detailed assessment and therapeutic recommendations, to surgical procedures and rehabilitation. In this way, patients receive full support throughout the entire treatment, with an emphasis on safety, functional recovery, and long-term quality of life. At IMC Priora, orthopaedics is dedicated to restoring mobility and pain-free movement through modern treatment methods and individualized patient care.

Orthopaedics – hip and knee endoprosthesis

Replacement of worn or damaged joints with endoprostheses (total endoprosthesis – TEP of the hip and knee) is one of the most common and effective methods in modern orthopaedics. This procedure significantly reduces or eliminates pain, restores mobility, and allows patients to live an active and high-quality life once again. With the use of modern surgical techniques and advanced implants, long-term durability, joint stability, and faster return to everyday activities are ensured.

The process of endoprosthesis implantation includes thorough preparation, precise diagnostics, and detailed surgical planning, enabling the individual selection of the optimal type of prosthesis for each patient. Equally important as the operation itself is the recovery period – a controlled program of rehabilitation and physical therapy helps restore strength, mobility, and confidence in movement. The goal of treatment is not only a successful operation, but a long-term solution that returns freedom of movement and independence in everyday life.
