Honoring Our Nurses and Technicians on International Nurses Day

International Nurses and Technicians Day, celebrated annually on May 12, is dedicated to the brave and devoted individuals who stand by patients every day, providing them with care, support, and safety. This date was chosen in honor of Florence Nightingale, the pioneer of modern nursing, who laid the foundations of the profession as we know it today.

Nursing is undoubtedly one of the most important professions in modern society. Despite technological innovations and advances in medicine, no machine or device can replace the human warmth, care, and expertise that nurses and technicians provide.

Our nurses and technicians are not only responsible for the medical aspects of care but also offer support and comfort to patients throughout their stay at our facility. Their role begins the moment the patient enters the hospital, greeted with a smile, understanding, and professionalism, and continues until the patient safely leaves the hospital. Their dedication and daily presence form an invaluable part of our team and guarantee the quality of healthcare that the International Medical Center Priora upholds every day.

We deeply appreciate the effort that nurses invest in every second spent at Priora with our patients, and we sincerely congratulate them on International Nurses Day,” said Martina Ivanišić, bacc. med. techn., Head Nurse of IMC Priora.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all our nurses and technicians who, through their knowledge, humanity, and dedication, contribute daily to the safety, quality, and satisfaction of our patients. Their role in healthcare is irreplaceable and invaluable, as they are often the first and last person a patient sees during their treatment,” stated Mr. Tomislav Kalem, M.D., Ph.D., Director of IMC Priora.
