Professor Milomir Ninković, our plastic surgeon, spoke about the global achievements of the International Medical Center Priora in the healthcare program Ultrazvuk, broadcast on Radio 92FM Slavonski Brod. In the interview, he highlighted the importance of microsurgery in modern medicine and its role in complex reconstructive procedures that restore function and quality of life for patients.
Long-standing dedication to microsurgery
In the program, Professor Ninković discussed his extensive experience and long-standing dedication to microsurgery, a field that has defined his professional work for decades. He emphasized that a large number of demanding microsurgical reconstructions are now performed at IMC Priora in Čepin, thanks to the team’s expertise and the high level of medical equipment.
Microsurgery is the foundation of modern reconstructive surgery
“Microsurgery has been my passion since 1984, when I first encountered this technique, and it remains so today, as we perform a large number of microsurgical reconstructions at IMC Priora in Čepin. It is truly a remarkable technique used not only in plastic and reconstructive surgery, but also in neurosurgery and other disciplines, as it allows precise access to very delicate structures such as nerves and blood vessels,” said Professor Ninković.

Recently, Professor Ninković also operated on a patient from Japan at IMC Priora, who had difficulty walking for eight years due to a diagnosis of “foot drop,” further confirming the international recognition of the expertise and treatment capabilities at this institution.
