Every year on February 26, we proudly mark Croatian Doctors’ Day – a day dedicated to all physicians who, through their knowledge, experience, and compassion, care for the health and well-being of their patients.
Expertise, Humanity, and Responsibility in the Medical Profession
It is an opportunity to express our appreciation to those who practice medicine with dedication and responsibility, investing their expertise and personal commitment to ensure that healthcare remains high-quality, safe, and accessible. Being a doctor is not merely a profession – it is a lifelong commitment to human life and health.

Croatian Medical Association and Medical Excellence
This date commemorates February 26, 1874, when the Croatian Medical Association was founded – the first medical association in Croatia and the eighth in Europe. Its establishment laid the foundations for organized and professional medical practice, advancing healthcare, promoting scientific work, and upholding the profession’s highest ethical standards.
On Croatian Doctors’ Day, we extend our gratitude to all physicians for their dedication, patience, and empathy. Their work often goes beyond regular working hours and formal duties – it requires continuous education, responsibility, and professional integrity.

We are especially proud of the physicians at the International Medical Center Priora, whose expert and humane approach consistently confirms that the patient is always at the center of medical care. Whether working in plastic and reconstructive surgery, urology, orthopaedics, gynecology, or internal medicine, their shared mission remains the same – excellence in the service of health.
Happy Croatian Doctors’ Day.
