Special emphasis was placed on <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.priora.eu\/en\/technology\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"71\">robotic surgery<\/a><\/strong> and the advanced <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.priora.eu\/en\/technology\/da-vinci\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"152\">Da Vinci robotic system<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1920\" src=\"https:\/\/www.priora.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/studenti-ivanic-grad-2-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"Skupina pet ljudi razgovara u modernom predvorju medicinskog centra, s recepcijskim pultom i staklenim zidom u pozadini.\" class=\"wp-image-10564\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The first Da Vinci procedures in Croatia were performed at Priora in June 2024<\/strong>, in the treatment of prostate cancer. Since then, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.priora.eu\/en\/news\/first-one-hundred-da-vinci-operations-at-imc-priora-in-cepin\/\">more than one hundred robot-assisted surgeries<\/a><\/strong> of the prostate and kidney have been successfully performed. The Da Vinci system is now also used in gynecology, marking another important step forward in Croatia. Preparations are also underway for the first abdominal procedures using this system, said<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.priora.eu\/en\/about-us\/our-team\/tomislav-kalem\/\" data-type=\"team\" data-id=\"324\"> Tomislav Kalem, MSc<\/a><\/strong>, Director of IMC Priora and Head of the Urology Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Da Vinci and Mona Lisa \u2013 advanced technologies in educating future healthcare professionals<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Kalem also gave a lecture to the students on robotic surgery. In addition to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.priora.eu\/en\/departments\/urology\/radical-prostatectomy-da-vinci\/\" data-type=\"treatment\" data-id=\"4304\">Da Vinci<\/a><\/strong>, Priora also uses the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.priora.eu\/en\/technology\/mona-lisa\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"3091\">Mona Lisa robot<\/a><\/strong> for prostate fusion biopsy, known for its exceptional precision and minimally invasive approach. Over the past two years, Priora\u2019s medical team has successfully performed <strong>more than 300 biopsies<\/strong> using the Mona Lisa system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1947\" height=\"1460\" src=\"https:\/\/www.priora.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/studenti-ivanic-grad-3.jpg\" alt=\"Skupina ljudi pozira ispred ulaza u Priora International Medical Center, s procvalim tre\u0161njama i sun\u010danim nebom.\" class=\"wp-image-10562\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Students of nursing, physiotherapy, prosthetics, orthotics, and robotics in physiotherapy attended the visit, accompanied by their professors and representatives of the university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As they emphasized, the visit helped them better understand clinical practice, connect theoretical knowledge with real-world application, and develop professional behavior in a healthcare environment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Students from Ivani\u0107-Grad University of Applied Sciences visited International Medical Center Priora last weekend and gained first-hand insight into how the hospital operates.
