This confirms the continuous development and increasingly broad clinical application of robotic surgery in Croatia.

Milestone in the development of robotic surgery

The first Da Vinci procedures in Croatia were performed at IMC Priora in June 2024 in the field of urology. Since then, the system has been used in more than one hundred patients. The results have demonstrated a high level of safety and effectiveness, with increasingly evident clinical benefits for patients.

The Da Vinci system enables surgeons to operate using high-precision robotic instruments, combined with 3D visualization and magnification of the surgical field. This approach enables minimally invasive procedures, typically resulting in less postoperative pain, reduced blood loss, and faster recovery compared to conventional surgical techniques.

Expansion into multiple surgical specialties

In addition to urology, where its use began, the Da Vinci system at Priora has also been successfully applied in kidney surgery and gynecology. The institution has announced further expansion of the program into abdominal surgery, further strengthening its multidisciplinary approach and the development of robotic surgery in everyday clinical practice.

Read the full article at Lidermedia.hr

Robotic surgery at IMC Priora has reached more than 100 successfully performed Da Vinci operations, with continuous expansion of its clinical…

[24
post-10524","news","type-news","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","news-category-priora-press
["GET
