German Minister Manfred Pentz, who visited IMC Priora in May, sent a heartfelt letter of thanks to the hospital’s director, Dr. Tomislav Kalem, for the warm hospitality and strong support during his official visit to Croatia.

Dr. Kalem receives letter of gratitude
“The visit of our delegation to the International Medical Center Priora left a lasting impression on all of us. It clearly showed me the great potential in the cooperation between Hesse and Croatia,” began Manfred Pentz in his letter to Dr. Tomislav Kalem, Director of IMC Priora.
Pentz is the Minister for Federal and European Affairs, International Affairs, and Bureaucracy Reduction in the German federal state of Hesse. During the visit, the delegation from Hesse had the opportunity to learn about Priora’s operations, its expert medical team, and infrastructure — all of which deeply impressed the minister.

Minister Pentz – Croatian roots
“I consider Croatia an important strategic partner in Southeast Europe. Especially in the context of EU enlargement, we need voices like Croatia’s — credible, European, and constructive. That is why I’m particularly pleased that, using expertise and knowledge from Hesse, you have managed to build such an outstanding medical center. Together with your team, you have set new standards for the entire region in terms of medical excellence and patient comfort,” he emphasized.
“I would be delighted if we remain in contact,” the minister concluded.
Manfred Pentz is a German politician from the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). Of Croatian descent on his mother’s side, he actively cooperates with the Croatian community in Germany and frequently emphasizes the strong ties between the two countries.
