Priora and Žito group contribute to a sustainable Slavonia
While Croatia is commonly associated with abundant solar energy along its coastline, the real solar potential also lies in its inland regions. Specifically, Slavonia, with approximately 1,800 hours of sunshine annually, offers an exceptional opportunity for investments in a green energy future.
Many of the region’s advantages have been recognized by E.ON EIS (Energy Infrastructure Solutions), which carries out as much as 30 percent of its projects in Slavonia, primarily in the processing and food industries. One of their partners is Žito Group, a leader in the food and agricultural sector. E.ON EIS has been a long-time partner of the Žito Group and has so far built 8.7 MWp of photovoltaic power plants for them.
IMC Priora and Žito Group has partnered with E.ON EIS
The international medical center Priora, owned by the Žito Group, has partnered with E.ON EIS to install a solar power plant with a capacity of 231 kWp on the roof of its hospital in Čepin. The plant produces 200 MWh of electricity annually, reduces CO₂ emissions by 160 tons, and increases the facility’s energy independence.
For the International Medical Center Priora and the Žito Group, sustainability is a responsibility toward the community and future generations. Modern healthcare means combining expertise and patient care with environmental protection.
We are proud that Priora is part of Slavonia’s green transformation, laying the foundation for sustainable and energy-efficient healthcare.
